What is SBI Clerk Exam

The SBI Clerk (Junior Associate) 2018 Exam conducted by the State Bank of India(SBI) has been a gateway to a career in the Banking Industry for thousands of students and working professionals across the nation. The notification for SBI Clerk(Junior Associate) 2018 Exam was out on 18th January. The exam is to be conducted in two phases, Prelims and Mains.

The candidate has to apply online on the Official website of SBI. The SBI Clerk(JA)notification was released in the third week of January.The mode of payment will be online.

SBI Clerk 2018 Selection Process 

Candidates who've registered for SBI Clerk 2018 Exam will go through a two-tier examination: 

SBI Clerk 2018 Prelims Exam Pattern

The SBI Clerk 2018 Prelims paper consists of 100 questions, each carrying 1 mark split across 3 sections - Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, Reasoning Ability with sectional time-limits

SBI Clerk 2018 Pattern at a glance

  • Each section has a separate time-limit
  • Each question carries a negative marking of 1/4th mark
  • No major changes compared to last year 

Local Language fluency test

  • If you had the local language of the concerned state as a subject in your 10th Grade and have a certificate proof, then you needn't appear for the Local Language Test
  • To those candidates who didn't have the local language in their subjects, this test is mandatory before final allotment 

The final merit list is prepared based on candidate's score in SBI Clerk Main Exam and Local Language fluency test 

Final Selection of SBI Clerk 

Marks secured in the SBI Clerk Preliminary Examination will not be added for the selection and only the marks obtained in SBI Clerk Main Examination will be added to the marks obtained in SBI Clerk Interview (if the interview is held) for the preparation of final merit list. Final selection will be done on the basis of candidate’s performance in the test (SBI Clerk main examination) and interview combined together.

The final merit list for SBI Clerk (Junior Associate) 2018 will determine the allocation of vacancies across various branches of SBI
