The given series in form  8, 12, 14, 18, 20, 24, _

The difference between the series in form 4, 2, 4, 2, 4, 2

So the next term should be added +2

so it will be 26.

Explanation:

The given series are in form 840, 820, 780, 700, 540, __

The difference between them is 20, 40, 80, 160, 320

Every difference term is multiplied by 2
