Quantitative Aptitude Questions and Solutions:

Question 1. A and B invested INR90,000 and INR60,000 in a business at the start of a year. After 9 months C joins A and B, invests INR90,000 in the same business. At the end of that year, 10% of the B's profit goes to charity. If C got profit share of INR15000, how much money B donated to charity?

Solution: Investment ratio of A, B & C in the year = 90,000×12: 60,000×12: 0×9+3×60000

                                                                = 6:4:1

C’s share in the profit = (1/11) ×Total Profit

Total profit = 11×15000 = 165000

B's share in the profit = 4/11(total profit) = 4/11(165,000) = INR60,000

10% of the B's profit goes to charity so it is = 10/100*(60,000) = INR6,000

Money donated to charity by B = INR6,000

Question 2. In how many different ways can the letters of the word BROKEN be arranged?

Solution: In BROKEN, there are six letters. These six letters can be arranged in 6×5×4×3×2×1 = 720
