What should I know about the TCS company?
Tata Consultancy Services or TCS is one of the largest IT service providers in India and the world. It includes traditional IT and remote infrastructure services with knowledge-based services such as consulting and Business Process Outsourcing. TCS (Tata Consultancy Services Ltd) is India’s largest IT Services Company with a market capitalization of over $80 billion. TCS has been consistently providing IT services, digital and business solutions to its clients/partners across the globe. TCS has a talent pool of over 387,200 global professionals including 34.7% women from 130 nationalities.
Do I meet the academic criteria for TCS Recruitment?
The following is the eligibility criteria generally followed for TCS campus recruitment.
- A candidate should possess a minimum percentage of 60 throughout his/her degree.
- Students with backlogs will not be eligible.
- A gap in the career is allowed up to a maximum of two years given valid reasons.
TCS Recruitment Process:
In this pattern, there are three rounds.
- Written Exam
- Technical Interview and Managerial Interview
- HR Interview
TCS Written Round:
The Written round consists of email writing (10 minutes) and an analytical test (90 minutes).

You will be given a scenario that needs to be addressed in an email along the lines of some phrases/clues provided. The email should consist of at least 50 words (sometimes 70 words mentioned in the question) and all the phrases mentioned in the question must be used. However, new words/phrases can be used. Common grammatical rules and punctuation must be followed. There is no negative marking in this session.

In the Analytical test, the Quantitative Ability and the Reasoning Ability sections are tested. There are 30 questions to be attempted in 80 minutes: 18-22 Quantitative and 18-12 Reasoning based questions. The important topics include Number system, Equations, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Profit and Loss, Time, Speed, Distance and Work, Areas and Mensuration, averages, Permutations and Combinations, Probability, Plane Geometry, Basic Algebra, Arrangements, Sets, Series, Coding, Truth and Lie based puzzles. Sometimes there is negative marking and for each wrong answer, one-third of marks is deducted.
TCS Technical Round:
In the technical round, some of the subjects that you will be tested include C, JAVA, and DBMS. Along with them, prepare on two more subjects from your branch. In most of the technical interviews, the interview panel will ask your favorite subject- in the case of which you can speak out the subjects that you have prepared.
TCS Managerial Round:
This round is elimination in most of the cases. This is another technical interview but under pressure. Confidence matters a lot in this round as the interviewers are going to check whether one is able to manage the stress or not. The interview panel tries to push one out of one's comfort zone. Keep calm and answer the questions that one knows. If the answer is not known, then don't give up, try attempting it with one's knowledge.
TCS HR Round:
