Wipro Recruitment Process for Freshers 2017
As the competition is growing for IT jobs each year, so to get your dream job, you should know everything about the companies visiting your Campus – especially their Campus recruitment process. In this blog, we will discuss Wipro campus recruitment process based on the past Campus selection process.
Wipro Selection Process - Eligibility:
Rina has always been a topper in her class. Her CGPA is 9 and she managed to maintain it throughout her graduation. On the other hand, we have Ronit . He is a smart and talented guy but has remained a 7 pointer. Do they have equal chances of getting placed in WIPRO?
Yes, Both Rina and Ronit are eligible to sit for WIPRO campus placements since the eligibility criteria is to maintain a percentage of 60 or more in 10th, 12th and graduation.
Rina: Thank God. Ronit ! You never had backlogs during your graduation. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have the chance to attend a WIPRO interview. But sometimes, if you are lucky enough, you will be eligible for the Wipro selection process with two backlogs too.
Ronit: Yeah! Now that I have cleared the primary eligibility criteria, I would like to know about the selection process WIPRO generally has to hire its employees.
Rina: Sure! Yesterday, I got an opportunity to get in touch with one of the faculty members at Conduira and this is what I learned from him.
Wipro Placement Rounds:
The Wipro hiring process has three rounds.
Round 1: Written / Online Test
Round 2: Technical round
Round 3: HR Round
Ronit: Cool. Can you take me through the number of sections and kind of questions asked in the online test pattern? I would like to start preparing from NOW!
I always believe in “Prepared are the ones who refuse to fail”
I think smart are the ones who work hard :p
I can tell you the latest exam pattern for Wipro campus placements.
It has four objective sections namely Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Technical Aptitude and a descriptive section where you will be asked to write an essay on a given situation.
You can find the number of questions asked in each category here:
Essay writing-1 (The essay should contain at least 300 words)
So, you have 70 questions and 70 minutes for the entire test. You need to plan it accordingly. Additionally, you will be asked to write an essay and the time allotted is 25 minutes.
Follow this link and you will land up in a page full of model tests to boost your preparation.
Thank you, Rina.
Let’s assume that I have cleared this round, what are the next steps to glory?
HR managers with technical expertise will try to test your technical knowledge in C, C++, Java and other data base concepts. Since you are from a non-IT background, you might be asked questions related to your subject specialization.
Mostly questions about your major project and minor project/ internship experiences will be asked. If you have led a team, please mention it to your interviewer as it is going to give you extra points during your evaluation.
I will go through my project on “Reduction in strength of stone columns” and revise the work that I have done. The learning I attained through the project is something that I will be able to speak of any day.
If you clear this round, you will be qualified to the HR round.
Good communication skills, confidence, ability to handle pressure and your attitude towards learning are few things your recruiters are going to test here. Recently, I came across this amazing website called Conduira Online which has infinite resources for building up confidence in HR interviews. I suggest you go through GDPI videos in Learning Center of Conduira Online to understand and learn the right answers to these questions.
Ronit: I am going to do that right now.
