IBPS RRB Clerk 2018 - Preparation Plan 

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) started conducting this IBPS Clerk exam in 2011 which, since then has been a gateway to the lucrative career in Banking Industry for a lot of students and working professionals across India. 15 Lakh + students appeared(from Official website www.ibps.in) for IBPS clerk Exam 2017 and with all that is happening around us – IT Layoffs and the economic slowdown, the number is definitely expected to rise considerably.   1. Preliminary Exam

The Number of vacancies: The number of vacancies is seeing a drop every year. IBPS has announced 7883 vacancies for Clerical Cadre posts in 19 banks. In 2018 the number of vacancies may be Increase or Decrease.

The number of candidates appearing for the exam: 14 Lakh+  for last year( For IBPS RRB 2017). It expected to rise for IBPS Clerk 2018

How to prepare for IBPS Clerk 2018

The number of vacancies is seeing a drop every year. This is partly due to automation. To excel in IBPS Clerk 2018, one should start preparation early as well as be smart with their preparation strategy. The first step, however, is to understand the pattern and Syllabus for Prelims and Mains examinations.

Two important things to note are:

  • There will be a negative marking of a 1/4th mark for every wrong question in both Prelims and Main Examinations. 

  • The marks obtained in Main Exam along with the local language proficiency test will determine candidate's chances of getting into the final merit list.

IBPS RRB OS-1 2018 - Preparation Plan 

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will conduct the examination IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 2018 for the recruitment of Scale-1 Officers in the Regional Rural Banks. IBPS RRB until 2015 had a single level exam for both Office Assistant and Officer Scale-1 posts. Since 2016, there has been a two-tier exam for both the posts. The IBPS RRB OS(Officer Scale ) 1 exam 2018 will be conducted around August.

Regional Rural Banks are local level banking organizations operating in the different States of India. They have been created with a view to primarily serve the rural areas of India with basic banking and financial services. However, RRBs may have branches set up for urban operations and their area of operation may include urban areas too. The area of operation of RRBs is limited to the area as notified by Government of India covering one or more districts in the State.
